Owl: A Year in the Lives ofNorth American Owls, will feature several dozen never before seen rare images of owls calling, hunting, delivering prey, caring for their young, leaving nests, gaining their independence and surviving the winter. The new 10.75" x 9.5" hard cover book will provides an intimate look at a year in the life of these beloved birds. Several owl species – representing distinct habitats– will star while all 19 NorthAmerican species will appear throughout to help tell the complete story of our owls and how they utilize their habitats. Look for it from the acclaimed publisher Braided River in October 2016.


This hardcover book will be the first book featuring only my photography and writing since The Owl and The Woodpecker in 2008.
